Our Story
Born in Berlin. Open to the world.
Berlin is a city where history, art, resistance, experimentation and cultures from around the world meet.
The name Berlin Gate grows from that spirit. We welcome filmmakers and visual storytellers who create with courage, honesty and a personal vision.
Our purpose is not simply to hand out a title or laurel. We are building a credible platform where independent work can be discovered, filmmakers and audiences can connect, and voices overlooked by traditional structures can be brought into view.

Submissions and judging take place internationally. The first edition culminates in a live event in Berlin with selected screenings, recognition and the announcement of winners.
